Static electricity can create technical challenges for anyone using glossy filmic self-adhesive materials. The static electricity causes materials to get stuck together, which lowers the productivity and profitability of the production.

“In response to feedback from customers working with UPM Raflatac’s laser printable A4 and sheetstock filmic products, our Paper Laminates PD department has been resolving the inherent problem of static electricity and has developed a new innovative StaticOUT antistatic label stock material. The material is integrated into UPM Raflatac’s glossy Polylaser films and is available in white and clear,” says Marta Zając, Sheets Segment Manager, UPM Raflatac EMEIA.

The new StaticOUT antistatic label stock material brings many benefits for UPM Raflatac’s customers. Reducing the effects of static electricity on glossy filmic self-adhesives prevents paper jams in laser printing. In addition, reducing the effects in laser printing means trouble-free handling of printed sheets. This makes it easier to stack sheets and prevents the sheets from sticking together resulting in smoother operations and cost savings.
